In this life, this life of mine
Nothing is for certain, nothing is known,
Not the falling stars, nor the sparkle of joy,
Its all just a fleeing moment in time.
I still remember
The quickening of my heart,
The rush of emotions
The passion and desire
But now, I don't know.
My heart was taken, so long ago
Fulled to the brim it once was,
But as time crept bye
Leaving me alone and wondering,
Was it ever real?
No angel sits perched beside me
No longer are you my hero
And perhaps you never were
As time flies bye
Leaving me alone and wondering.
You took my heart
Giving me a glitter of hope,
Offering me the world,
But now, all th
A simple tree I may be
With limbs stretched wide and far
But here I stay, perched upon my hill,
Watching God's children hither and dither,
Enjoying my simple gifts.
A simple tree I may be
Made of oak through and through
With leaf's of green or gold in the fall,
But here I stay, perched upon my hill,
Watching the seasons come and go.
A simple tree I may be
With rings foretelling time
But here I stay, perched upon my hill,
Remembering all that has been,
And seeing all that will be.
A simple tree I may be
With my face smooth or rough,
But here I stay, perched upon my hill,
Recording all I see and hear,
Never uttering a word.
Under the cover of darkness, twinkling above me,
Millions, billions and trillions of flicking lights,
Prancing and dancing in their freedom,
Undiscovered, untraced and unspoiled,
Unnamed beacons of mystery and might.
Twined with the moon, ushering in the night,
Helter-skelter in the evening sky,
Holy beacons, sparkling gems, precious stones,
Diamonds in the sky, jewels never held,
Untouched, untarnished by man's sinful touch.
In a time forgotten, the time of our forefathers
When they sailed the choppy seas in wooden ships,
Discovering new sights and heights,
The lights of heaven foretold their paths,
Leading them far and wide

High upon the nighy sky, I share a heavenly perch
Along with the glittering stars and with no searching
I can be clearly seen amongst the stars, and the clouds,

In secrecy, and questions stay perched upon their lips,
But to many I call forth the shadows, the cycles of life.
In the past I have been called many names,
I have been called Luna, Artemis, Diana, and Selene to name a few,
But no matter my name, I am the Moon Goddess
With hair of silver beams and pale flesh, I hold the nightly flame,
Calling forth the tides, taming raging hearts,
And into the nightly shadows I stand ta
